charis women CREDENTIALING
Commissioned to Serve. Equipped to Lead.
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."
2 Timothy 2:15
God continues to call and equip women to serve His Church in meaningful ways. Whether your ministry takes place in your local church, on the mission field, in your community, or behind the scenes, faithful ministry deserves thoughtful preparation, biblical grounding, and loving accountability.
The Charis Women Credentialing Program exists to recognize and equip women whom God has called to non-elder ministry leadership. Through biblical study, mentoring, ministry experience, and theological affirmation, credentialing helps women grow in confidence and competence as they serve Christ and His Church.
Credentialing is more than completing a process. It is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of God's Word, strengthen your ministry, and receive recognition from both your local church and Charis Women for the work God has called you to do.
Credentialing is designed for women who:
Are actively serving or preparing to serve in ministry.
Desire deeper biblical and theological training.
Value mentoring and spiritual accountability.
Want to strengthen their ministry leadership.
Have a heart to faithfully serve wherever God has called them.
Whether your ministry is teaching, discipleship, missions, counseling, children's ministry, women's ministry, chaplaincy, or another area of Kingdom service, credentialing is designed to help you grow as a faithful servant of Christ.
THE CREDENTIALING JOURNEY
Credentialing is intentionally relational and developmental. Rather than simply completing coursework, you'll walk through a process designed to encourage both spiritual and ministry growth.
APPLY - Begin by submitting your application and sharing your ministry experience and sense of calling.
TRAINING & MENTORING - Receive biblical training, doctrinal resources, and personal mentoring as you deepen your understanding of Scripture and ministry.
MINISTRY & DOCTRINAL STATEMENT - Prepare a written statement describing your ministry, personal testimony, and biblical beliefs.
PERSONAL INTERVIEW - Meet with credentialing leaders to discuss your ministry, doctrine, and calling.
COMMISSIONING - Upon successful completion of the process, you will be recognized as a Commissioned Leader in Ministry through Charis Women.
WHAT is COMMISSIONED LEADER IN MINISTRY?
A Commissioned Leader in Ministry is a woman whose calling, character, doctrine, and ministry have been recognized through a credentialing process developed by Charis Women.
Credentialing provides:
Recognition of ministry readiness
Biblical and theological preparation
Personal mentoring
Doctrinal accountability
Partnership with the local church
Ongoing encouragement for ministry
For many women, credentialing also fulfills the ministry approval requirements of churches, mission agencies, prison ministries, hospitals, and other organizations that require formal ministry credentials. (Charis Women)

WHY MENTORING MATTERS
Healthy ministry doesn't happen in isolation.
